Student answer (Band 6.5)
It has been observed that everyone's favourite topic is offense nowadays, people significant enjoyed this type of books, and series. I think there are several reasons why these are more attractive for audience. I will explain both questions in ensuing paragraph with my opinion.
Examining the first question, there are number of most important reasons. First of all, crimes are becoming more popular in real life too. To explain this, people faces this situation in there daily life. They want to aware of this type of situation before something happened with them. For Example, unlawful act books give much more knowledge about particular incident that already faces in our societies. As a result drama create warning to the people who do not know about education related this particular topic. Additionally, individuals like suspense stories which create challenges and risk in life. Consequently, they learn solution how to deal with these situation for themselves.
In my opinion, these type of dramas and movie creates advantages for citizens despite the fact of criminals learn enough knowledge from the show they are follow same in real life and that's negative effect on society. As well as sometime fiction movies encourage bad people how to do crime in these ways. I agree with large extent that these is really popular among supporters but there are bad side too.
To wrap up my discussion, offense related shows are enjoyable and knowledgeable as well for viewers but I would like to suggest that taking measurable action such as follow rules and regulation before relies the drama which decrease darker effects in the nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why crime fiction is popular and the writer's opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation for popularity relies on generalisations, such as 'people want to be aware of this type of situation,' which lacks depth. The opinion section is present but slightly contradictory, as the writer acknowledges both the educational value and the potential for negative influence without fully synthesising these points. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples—perhaps referencing a particular type of show or a specific societal trend—to support your arguments more robustly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'As well as sometime fiction movies' or 'Consequently, they learn solution.' While the paragraphing is appropriate, the transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used with greater precision would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'suspense,' 'unlawful act,' and 'societies.' However, there are instances of word choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'everyone's favourite topic is offense' (instead of 'crime') and 'people significant enjoyed' (instead of 'significantly enjoy'). The range is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing to convey complex thoughts. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding, such as 'people faces this situation in there daily life' (subject-verb agreement and homophone error) and 'these is really popular' (plural/singular mismatch). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often marred by errors in tense or word order. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score in this criterion.
