Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why crime dramas are popular and your personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that these shows provide 'awareness' and 'education,' the explanation remains superficial. Your opinion is clear, but the argument that these shows directly cause criminal behavior in youngsters is a significant generalization that lacks nuanced support. To improve, ensure that your arguments are more thoroughly explained with logical steps rather than jumping to conclusions. The response meets the minimum length requirement, which allows for a more detailed exploration of the topic in future attempts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Although,' 'For instance,' and 'To conclude.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'during this all scenario' or 'it has become prove that.' The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used in the correct context will help elevate your score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, including terms like 'thriller,' 'criminal charges,' and 'modern era.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'police personal finished the criminal' instead of 'police officers apprehended the criminal,' and 'trying to robbed a ATM machine' instead of 'attempted to rob an ATM.' These errors occasionally impede the flow of your writing. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word forms are accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, such as 'are become popular,' 'it has become prove,' and 'following this kind of movies... are left.' These errors are noticeable and sometimes distract the reader. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain structural faults. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, especially with verb forms and pluralization, will significantly improve the clarity and quality of your writing.
