TV shows such as crime dramas and crime novels are attracting a significant number people. It is getting popular among every age groups of people. This is because it hides a suspense which does not let audience to get off their televisions. I personally believe that TV shows that contains crimes and other violent contents should not be promoted.
To begin with, the crime dramas have become a favorite genre of viewers. Tv episodes such as crime petrol is totally based on crime scenes in which a criminal commits a crime and the police try to solve the case. Additionally, throughout the episode, the storywriter hides a suspense, which attracts audience in a way that they do not want to turn off their TV's until the case is solved. In conclusion, despite that fact that the crime stories attract a huge number of audience, it has a negative impact on people. Moreover, it indirectly gives a pathway to those who want to take revenge or commit a crime.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the popularity of crime fiction and the writer's personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the 'suspense' factor and the potential for 'negative influence'. However, the development is somewhat limited. The explanation of why people enjoy crime dramas is clear, but the argument regarding the negative impact is a bit repetitive and lacks specific, well-developed examples beyond a general mention of bullying. To reach a higher band, the writer should provide more nuanced analysis or concrete real-world examples to support the claims made in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, some of the transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence 'As a result of which, students tend to suffer a lot in their future. due to their criminal involvements', where the punctuation and sentence structure disrupt the flow. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, but the management of cohesive links could be more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'culprit' and 'implementation', though some word choices are slightly unnatural or imprecise, such as 'hides a suspense' instead of 'creates suspense' or 'adapt that profession' instead of 'adopt that behavior'. There are also minor errors in collocation, such as 'attracting a significant number people' (missing 'of'). The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the audience'), pluralization ('every age groups'), and verb forms ('TV shows that contains'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, such as the fragmented sentence 'due to their criminal involvements' and the unnecessary apostrophe in 'TV's'. These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Increasing the variety of error-free complex structures would improve the score.
