IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In many countries today, crime novels and TV crime dramas are becoming more and more popular. Why do you think these books and TV shows are popular? What is your opinion of crime fiction and TV crime dramas?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Nowerdays, crime based books and dramas are trending. Both the questions are explained in the forthcoming paragraphs.

Discussing the first question, the most common is that this TV shows and books are mostly based on real life expirance. Also, crime based stories mostly suspensive, views love to watch somthing new and exciating everyday. For example, Hindi based web series " sectore 36" is trending number 1 in all over india. It's based on real life crime, men killed many childreans and eat all of them just for fun. After watching that people can't imaging there is people like that in our society. The drama is trending not just because it's real life based also due to it's story.

Considering to the second question is, My opinion on this topic. I love watching dramas specially because of story lines. I have watched rom-com drams since teen age, now almost every drama has same story. However, crime dramas always have new story and dialogs, even in some story there only main lead actor or actress even in some dramas no heroes, still it's worth to watch. Like I mentioed in above paragraph "sector 36"- in that drama only villian is the main character no hero or heroine, no fighting sence, still it's catching you till the end.

Moreover, people always like to watch something new, that can draw thare attention. Like we can see there in today's society the crime rate has been increased. people also wanted to know about recent crime and how that happen.

To conclude, itt can be finally commented that, people love to watch or read exiting stoies in there regular life, crime based stories are like that, that's why it's trending recently.
