Nowadays, crime rate is significantly increased and continue to progress. Also, dramas and TV shows regarding this is significantly rising. I think the main reasons behind it is higher level of crime, people tendency to be dominate over other people and influence from movie stars. I will explain more about this and give my opinion.
The first and foremost reason is achieving dominance or control upon people. To explain it, an individual who want to control someone, will try to afraid that person and use the wrong ways learned from reading crime booklet and dramas. For instance, do gag rape to take revenge it becomes popular under influence of TV dramas.
Moreover, the actress who has good reputation, playing this roles. It can affects the mindset of young generation. For example, couples started following new trends such as stay in live in before marriage, blindly following the love stories without practical basis.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay addresses the prompt by discussing reasons for the popularity of crime fiction and providing an opinion, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack logical depth. The examples provided, such as the mention of 'gag rape' and 'live in' relationships, are not clearly linked to the popularity of crime dramas and appear somewhat disjointed or irrelevant to the core question. The position is stated but lacks the necessary elaboration to reach a higher band. To improve, you must expand your arguments with clear, relevant examples and ensure the essay meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'The first and foremost reason', 'Moreover', 'To conclude'), they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately. The transition between sentences is occasionally abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logic. For instance, the jump from discussing crime dramas to 'live in' relationships lacks a clear logical bridge. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak, with ideas often feeling like a list of points rather than a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choice and incorrect collocations, such as 'crime booklet' instead of 'crime novels' and 'implimainting ways' instead of 'implementing methods'. Some phrases are grammatically incorrect or unnatural, such as 'do gag rape' and 'stay in live in'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more academic vocabulary appropriate for an essay, while also paying closer attention to spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'crime rate is significantly increased', 'people tendency to be dominate'), article usage, and sentence structure. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are often faulty, such as 'the actress who has good reputation, playing this roles'. Punctuation is also inconsistent. The majority of the sentences contain errors, and the lack of control over basic grammar limits the clarity of your writing. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors is essential for improvement.
