Well, it is indeed true that Television and book industries are focusing and releasing more and more novels and TV programmes which mainly focuses on crime related stories. I believe this is because people prefer to watch this kind of dramas. Before commenting my opinion, I will elaborate some pros on cons of this in further essay.
First and foremost, one most significant factor why people are more interested in the crime movies is that this types of movies and dramas are quite engaging, entertaining and create suspense. Even though, crime movies are sometimes fearful and haunted, It spread awareness and guide community that how to tackle and deal with the criminals and perpetrators.
Furthermore, crime based movies and web-serieses are the most watched by the new generation. Therefore, film directors usually tend to pick up contents and stories based on crime scenes such as murders, kidnappings and robberies. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for popularity and personal opinion. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention suspense and awareness as reasons, the arguments could be more deeply explored with specific examples beyond just mentioning 'Money Heist'. The opinion is stated in the conclusion but lacks a strong, consistent stance throughout the body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, ensure that your personal opinion is clearly articulated in the introduction and consistently supported throughout the essay, rather than just summarized at the end.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Before commenting my opinion, I will elaborate some pros on cons'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences feel disjointed. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your ideas, such as 'perpetrators', 'web-serieses', and 'tackle'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'visualize version' instead of 'visual format' and 'fearful and haunted' which is not the standard way to describe crime dramas. There are also some minor errors in word formation, like 'web-serieses' (the plural of series is series). To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this types of movies', 'It spread awareness'), punctuation errors (comma splices, such as '...all around the world. which is based on...'), and incorrect article usage. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and sentence boundaries will help improve your score.
