Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the popularity of crime fiction and the writer's personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The explanation for popularity is somewhat repetitive, focusing on the 'interesting' nature of stories and suspense without exploring deeper psychological or societal reasons. The personal opinion is present but lacks depth; the argument that these shows are 'good until and unless people do not get inspire from it' is slightly unclear. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific examples or logical reasoning rather than just stating that stories are 'interesting'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into four paragraphs, which is appropriate. There is a basic attempt at logical progression, but the flow is often hindered by awkward phrasing and limited use of cohesive devices. While some linking words like 'In addition' and 'To conclude' are used, they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where 'these people' and 'those who' are used without a clear antecedent. Improving the variety and accuracy of transition signals would significantly enhance the readability of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic terms like 'crime', 'books', 'TV shows', and 'movies'. Some word choices are inaccurate, such as 'phenomena' (used as a singular noun) and 'lauched beacause to increase'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'esaay', 'suspence', 'beacause', and 'itt'. To improve, you should focus on using a wider variety of synonyms and ensuring correct spelling and collocation of common academic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'In this esaay will discuss' (missing subject) and 'people wants to know' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. There are frequent errors in articles and verb forms, such as 'a books' and 'Director needs to create'. To improve, you should practice subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, and aim to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
