In many nations, it has been noticed that TV shows and novels related to crime are becoming intensively popular. The main reason of their popularity is the amount of thrill and suspense, they are providing. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for popularity and your personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, you mention that crime content is 'made on real events,' but this is a generalization that does not apply to all crime fiction. The argument regarding the 2008 financial crisis is a bit tangential, as it focuses on documentaries rather than the broader genre of crime novels and dramas. To improve, ensure your examples directly support your main points and provide more depth in your analysis of why these genres specifically appeal to human psychology or societal interests.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'However,' 'Conversely,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'As such content provides...' and 'it order to stay profitable.' The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the relationship between ideas is always explicitly clear.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'intensively popular,' 'fascinates,' and 'sustain economically.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'unattachable story line' (likely meaning 'unputdownable' or 'engaging') and 'sense of dryness.' Additionally, there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'economies crises' instead of 'economic crises.' To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise adjectives to describe the nature of the stories and the audience's reactions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the issues behind economies crises'), subject-verb agreement, and punctuation. For example, 'As entertainment companies need to make content for every age group, it order to stay profitable...' is a sentence fragment. You also have issues with comma usage, such as placing a comma between a verb and its object ('...suspense, they are providing'). Increasing your control over complex sentence structures and proofreading for basic grammatical slips will help improve your score.
