Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this present time, crime novels and TV crime dramas becoming more popular because writers and director's include all kinds of emotions in it such as suspence, action, thrill, also some times love angles. In my opinion, these kind of dramas are good to watch for fun purposes and also give meaningful lessons in the ending.
To begin with, people are very stressed in their lives because of different reasons such as work or family problems so for a enjoyment they watch something exciting like dramas which involve crime in it because it is just a human nature we like to watch unwise things more as compared to wise for example MIRJAPUR web series is very popular and when we watch its review people love this because of dialogue delivery and vulgar language but also people say thanks for giving them something new and which entertain them as people are watch this dramas for entertainment off course so it is positive development if some one watching these dramas to reduce own stress.
Moreover, if we talk about audience which is below 18, most of crime dramas and novels are prohibited for them also, majority of them have good life lesson at end which help children to choose between write and wrong throughout their life so there is nothing bad if teenagers watch dramas like this because how can they find crime is good or bad if they not have knowledge about it.
In conclusion, crime dramas and novels are very beneficial for viewers to enjoy and they also learn some good lesson in ending.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for popularity and your personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why people enjoy crime dramas relies on a vague assertion about 'human nature' and 'unwise things', which lacks depth. While you provide an example (Mirzapur), the connection between the example and the broader argument about stress relief is not fully articulated. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the psychological or social reasons for this popularity with more nuanced analysis rather than relying on generalisations. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments require more logical extension.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is a basic logical progression. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Moreover, if we talk about audience...' is somewhat informal and clunky. There are also issues with referencing; in the second paragraph, the phrase 'as people are watch this dramas' lacks a clear link to the previous clause. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow of ideas within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed, making the reader work harder to follow your train of thought. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'fun purposes'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'unwise things' (which does not accurately convey the intended meaning of 'dark' or 'taboo' themes) and 'write and wrong' (a spelling error for 'right'). The phrase 'dialogue delivery' is used correctly, but overall, the range is limited. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary related to media and sociology rather than conversational phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('dramas becoming', 'people are watch'), article usage ('at end' instead of 'at the end'), and punctuation errors (missing commas in complex sentences). The sentence 'how can they find crime is good or bad if they not have knowledge about it' is grammatically incorrect and awkward. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for verb forms.
