Student answer (Band 5.5)
Crime in today's fictional, entertainment and shows and web series has become common.
While the crime in these things should be restricted because it encourages some viewers to persue it it real world.
But it also helps the viewers to prevent the crime.
The first reason the crime in the novels, tv, and drama is becoming common simply because the viewers demand it. To make the profit the broadcasting companies simply produce the content that will have more views and ultimately more revenue.
This has a serious consequence by consuming such content certain percentage of viewers will persue the crime in real life .When many criminals were interviewed the idea of crime in their mind came from the content from tv shows. Already the crime is increasing day by day so it needs to be stopped.
On the other hand this content have been beneficial to many viewers also.
For example some people were able to escape from the crime because they were familiar with the situation just because the same situation they have seen in the fictional shows.
When the population can relate the situation in real life they consume the content more and hence the crime in the tv shows novels and ott platforms is increasing because there is demand.
To conclude I'll say that so the crime should be in limit in these kind of online platforms, novels, tv shows. But they should show things that are helpful for the viewers rather then encouraging the viewers to do crime.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why crime content is popular and your opinion on it. However, the development is quite limited. The explanation for popularity focuses primarily on profit-seeking, which is a relevant point, but the discussion on the impact of crime fiction is repetitive and lacks depth. The arguments are somewhat simplistic, and the conclusion does not fully synthesize your position. To improve, you should expand on your ideas with more specific examples or nuanced reasoning to move beyond surface-level observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For instance, starting sentences with 'But' or 'And' is informal and disrupts the flow. The transition between the popularity of crime shows and the impact on viewers is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' 'conversely') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'crime in the novels, tv, and drama' and 'the crime in the tv shows novels and ott platforms.' There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'persue the crime.' To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and topic-specific vocabulary related to media consumption and societal influence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this content have been'), missing articles, and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'persue' instead of 'pursue'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and practice using more complex sentence structures like relative clauses or conditional sentences.
