IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In many countries today, crime novels and TV crime dramas are becoming more and more popular. Why do you think these books and TV shows are popular? What is your opinion of crime fiction and TV crime dramas?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It has been observed that nowadays, books and digital drama for crime are trending in various countries. If explored, there are few reasons for becomimg popular. Ahead of some reasons and my opinion are elaborated.
Discussing the reasons, the most important is that the reality of TV shows. In the present time, some offences are happened and some people are breaking few rules to show them personality. However, the same things are presented in the videos. Moreover, stories and digital technologies are giving convey messages to the public. It is not only for enjoyment but also for awareness.
Furthermore, some mystery hide behind some crime movies and series. This is the second reason to make people attract and they become very curious to watch it. Therefore, they wait for second part. For instance, recently all of the films have been based on the fact. Producer just select one story which happened in the past and make it in dramas. So, people are excited to watch it which they could not see in their time.
considering in my personal suggestion, i can say that it would be really good to show crime episodes. The reason is that people should know about some safety and actions when something will happen to them. They should aware with some offence and protect themselves. Films and books are best way to send message with everyone. These dramas are not only for approching youngster to do something right or wrong but also people can learn how to save them life and if they do something wrong so they will go for some punishments by the laws. No one could save after doing crime.
To conclude,it can be eventually commented that crime dramas and novels are going to be trend because of they display some fact and realities are attracting to everyone. As well as i also agree with this trend and it is really awareness shows.
