Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this contemporary era, crime shows become intensively popular in most of the nations. According to me this thing is getting fame to create awareness between people and guide them who to keep themselves safe from any crime. I will elaborate both the points in upcoming paragraphs along with my own prespective.
The most prominant reason for the popularity is awareness. As, the crime novels and TV dramas tell the invididual that what is happening in our surrounding along with What sort of crimes are done? For instance, I am very fond of wating this sort of TV serials. A long time ago, I had watched that one mother killed his own son just because she loved someone. From this sort of things we get to know that in this world anything can happen. So, individuals have to keep themselves safe.
To continue that, the second most important reason is to guide people to keep themselves safe from this sord of crimes by keeping peeper spray, and other sharps things along with them. However, If the kids watch or read any sort of crime series. They will get more aware about crime. Because if, they saw something wrong then they might tell someone that they have seen something wrong or that thing happened with them. This things help the society to keep themselves and there loved once safe.
According to my point of view, there should be a day in a week when the schools or families watch or read this sort of things. So, that from them our next generation become more aware. Lastly, I want to say govenment have to incease the funds to promote crime shows series and novels.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why crime novels and TV dramas are popular (awareness and safety) and providing a personal opinion. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitive, focusing almost exclusively on 'awareness' and 'keeping safe' rather than exploring other motivating factors like entertainment value, psychological thrills, or intellectual stimulation. The position is stated, but the support tends to over-generalise, such as suggesting people carry pepper spray and sharp things based on TV shows. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the development is limited and lacks depth, fitting the Band 5 descriptors where ideas are somewhat under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a basic organizational structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, representing paragraphing. However, progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and repetitive ideas. Cohesive devices are often inadequate or inaccurate, as seen in transitional phrases like 'To continue that' and 'Because if, they saw something wrong'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly with pronoun use ('this thing', 'that thing'). While there is a clear attempt to structure the essay, the mechanical and faulty use of cohesive devices places this response securely at Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is of a limited range, just about adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'contemporary era' and 'prominant', but these are accompanied by spelling errors ('prominant', 'prespective', 'sord', 'peeper', 'govenment', 'incease') and word-choice errors ('sharks things' instead of sharp things, 'wating' instead of watching). Noticeable lexical errors cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the vocabulary score to Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but errors are frequent and pervasive throughout the text. There are numerous grammatical and punctuation errors, such as sentence fragments ('According to me this thing is getting fame to create awareness between people and guide them who to keep themselves safe'), tense confusion ('one mother killed his own son'), and unnecessary comma splices ('Because if, they saw something wrong...'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and align the grammar with the Band 5 descriptors.
