Nowadays, people are much enjoying the thriller movies or a books rather than the other kind of serials in the world. Most of the people are more affraid with the crime series and they are watching with more interest.

Reason behind it, people are very used to be with the same comedy and drama so, they are looking for something more interesting. Also nowadays, writer are making a more movies on crime, so people are getting affraid with it. Furthermore, crime based drams or novels has too much thrill and action so people are not getting bore. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses the two parts of the prompt regarding the popularity of crime fiction and the student's personal opinion. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed, relying on simple generalisations without sufficient supporting examples. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the response contains only 210 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum. The position is stated, but the arguments are repetitive and lack depth, which keeps the task achievement at a minimal level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation in the response, with distinct paragraphs attempting to introduce reasons and a personal opinion. However, there is no clear overall progression between ideas, and the logical flow is occasionally disrupted by abrupt shifts. Cohesive devices are used in a somewhat repetitive or mechanical manner, such as 'Also nowadays' and 'Furthermore', and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun use referring back to vague concepts. Paragraphing is attempted but lacks the control needed for higher bands.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate to express basic ideas about the topic. There are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'affraid' instead of 'afraid', 'perticular' instead of 'particular', and 'dangeours' instead of 'dangerous'. Word choices and collocations are often basic or awkward, for instance, 'people are very used to be with the same comedy'. These errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader in grasping the precise meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writer uses a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense and verb form issues like 'people are much enjoying', 'writer are making a more movies', and 'what the actual thing was happened'. Punctuation and articles also show persistent inaccuracies, and the final sentence is incomplete, which heavily impacts the overall structural control.
