Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by giving reasons for the popularity of crime stories—suspense, thrilling action and links to real events—and by expressing a generally positive view that they can raise awareness. The Delhi crime-series example also helps make one point more concrete. However, the response is only a partial treatment: the reasons are mostly listed rather than explained, and your opinion is not fully developed or balanced. The final sentence stops at “Nevertheless, such”, leaving the response without a completed conclusion or a clear final judgement. The response also falls 19 words short of the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. Explain how suspense keeps viewers engaged and clarify whether the benefits outweigh any possible drawbacks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening introduces the topic, the next paragraph gives reasons for popularity, and “Furthermore” introduces the awareness argument. Examples and explanations are generally placed near the points they support. However, progression is not clear throughout. The introduction promises to discuss popularity and give an opinion, but the opinion is only briefly stated later, and the response ends abruptly with “Nevertheless, such”. Linking phrases such as “The first and foremost reason” and “Moreover” help signal additions, but the ideas within paragraphs sometimes repeat rather than build on one another. Use a clearer sequence—reasons, a developed opinion, then a conclusion—and connect each example explicitly to the point it illustrates.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “crime dramas”, “true events”, “awareness” and “harsh truth”, so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “suspension” appears where “suspense” is intended, “people are more attracts” is not a natural expression, and “thrilled actions” does not convey the intended meaning clearly. There are also repeated broad terms such as “people”, “shows” and “crimes”. Aim for more precise phrases such as “build suspense”, “attract viewers” and “depict violent incidents”, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “People are more attracts to such movies and story until it reveal truth of the story” and a relative clause beginning “who are living alone in city”. However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction can make the reader pause. Examples include “it show” instead of “it shows”, “people likes” instead of “people like”, and “Crime dramas and story create” instead of a correctly matched plural or singular subject. Some sentences also have unclear clause structure, such as “It major advice for womens”. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
