Student answer (Band 4.5)

Nowdays, people have different opinion regarding their life. Most of the people like to watch the TV show with various ways, and some of older commuinity would like to read crime novel. In my opinion, I would prefer to watch TV crime darmas rather than reading crime novels, because It is feel with emotions.

Firstly, I would like to watch crime dramas on TV because many different actors are playing deep chacter which help to display person skill, and also gave him star poplularity thoroughout his crime drama acting on TV.

Secondly, In my opinion novel drama would not be able to achive world wide compare to the TV show. Due to which people have no clue about novel artist. So they will not be able to achive star popularity as TV crime actor get it. Moreover, TV actors wold get big amount of money compare to the novel artist.

Lastly, TV crime dramas should be translted in any languages and telecast to the world-wide without any issues.

In conclude, I would strongly suggest that TV crime dramas are more famous than crime novels in every universe.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear preference for TV crime dramas over crime novels, and you offer reasons involving actors’ performances, popularity, earnings, and international broadcasting. However, the task asks both why crime fiction and dramas are popular and for your opinion of them. Most of your response compares TV actors with novelists, so the reasons for the popularity of crime stories themselves—such as suspense or solving a mystery—are not explained, and your opinion is only briefly stated. The conclusion that they are famous “in every universe” is too broad to support your view. The response is also 63 words below the required minimum, which leaves little room to develop relevant ideas. Explain both parts directly and support each reason with an example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, three body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Lastly,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the sequence of points. However, the paragraphs do not build a clear overall argument: the discussion shifts from acting to novelists’ fame and income, then to translation, without showing how these points explain the popularity of crime fiction or develop your opinion. Some links are unclear, particularly “Due to which,” and the final paragraph introduces a point without explaining its connection to the earlier reasons. Use topic sentences that answer the prompt, connect each supporting detail to the main point, and make references between sentences clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “crime dramas,” “crime novel,” “actors,” “popularity,” and “translated,” so the general subject is usually identifiable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “darmas,” “chacter,” “poplularity,” and “translted.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “novel artist” does not clearly mean a novelist, and “achive world wide compare to” is difficult to interpret. “Every universe” is an unsuitable expression for the intended meaning. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing suspense, audiences, plots, and entertainment, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a reason clause with “because” and a sentence beginning “Due to which.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “Most of the people like to watch the TV show” has problems with number and article use, while “because It is feel with emotions” has an incorrect verb construction. In “many different actors are playing deep chacter which help,” the relative clause and agreement are not controlled. The response also relies heavily on basic sentence patterns. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms, then build longer sentences around one clear main clause.
