Student answer (Band 5.0)

In considerable number of nations, Both the books and tv shows related to crime are becoming more famous. Nowadays, people like more horror storeies instead of normal dramas and I believe that it indulge our youth into criminal activities.

To commencing with why people give prefrence to read and watch horror stories?. Since these stories are based on true concept and when people watching television shows they aware themselves as well as their family members such as children and grand parents. if any activities happen with them while driving or walking time, they take immediately right action for their saftey because they learn things from movies and shows how to safe ourselves in this situation. For instance, Recently kidnapping scene happened in mumbai a car driver kidnap the girl from national highway , girl just press the ememgency button on Mobile phone then immidetaitely call connect to women helpline they track the location of girl. after recovery she reveal that, she learnt from crime petrol which is indian famous show.

Despite this argumenting, I assert that this shows has negative effects on younger's mind. As young people who are unemployed and watch different stories and learnt how to perform this negative activities with others. First of all, They start with smaller action then indulge into big groups such as gangesters who murderd others by demand of money. For Example, A punjabi famous singer sidhu moosewala murderd by a group of gangestars in 2022 and small criminals who leak his information just because of small amount of money. Thus, these activities change the future of person.

In conclusion, Althoush these crime stories are relaiety of public, Y`outh of our countary involve into bad society by watching these shows.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: you suggest that crime programmes attract viewers because they offer practical safety lessons, and you give a clear negative view of their influence on young people. The Mumbai kidnapping example supports the first point, while the Sidhu Moosewala example is intended to illustrate the second. However, the response only partly develops the task. The explanation of popularity focuses mainly on learning safety skills and does not explore other likely attractions, such as suspense or solving a mystery. The claim that crime fiction leads young people towards criminal activity is also broad, and the example does not clearly establish that watching these programmes caused the crime. Explain the links between each example and your opinion more carefully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two main points, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commencing with,” “First of all,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from general safety advice to a detailed kidnapping account without a clear transition, and the second shifts from unemployed viewers to gang activity. Some linking expressions are awkward or do not show the relationship accurately, including “Despite this argumenting.” Referencing is also unclear in phrases such as “this shows” and “these activities.” Use simpler, accurate transitions and make each paragraph develop one point in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “criminal activities,” “women helpline,” “recovery,” and “gangsters,” and you use examples to make the subject concrete. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts harder to understand: “storeies,” “prefrence,” “saftey,” and “relaiety.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “normal dramas,” “true concept,” and “change the future of person.” These issues fit a level where vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic ideas but control is inconsistent. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases, check spelling carefully, and choose collocations that express your meaning precisely—for example, “based on real events” rather than “based on true concept.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea about what viewers might do in an emergency and a relative clause beginning “who are unemployed.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “when people watching television shows they aware themselves” lacks the required verb forms, while “this shows has negative effects” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening also joins ideas with inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar. Proofread for tense, agreement, and full stops.
