Student answer (Band 5.5)
Tv programs and books portay criminal offence are becoming so popular nowadays in my nations . This essay will explain the major reason behind this poularity along with my personal opnion about these tv serials.
There are numbers of reason in the favour od notion that crom - series are getting more popularity .Firstly , the audience depend. To explain , most of the tv drama audince is youngster an they alwas demand for some exciting and action screentime rather then old-style love stories as , they want to get insprised with strong and bold personalty . Therefor , production houses introduce more offensive tv programmes to make best out of these shows.
Secondly , creating awareness is also very imprtant nowadays. To elaborate better, crime is incresing day by day . To create awareness about how criminas are things and normalmpeople should take care of them , these tv shows are the best medium .For example , show like CID , show how criminals are using technology to scam normal individuals, they share otp to scam and then gethold of allthe accounts if somebody click on that links. Thus , increase in these criminal mind show help to be aware fro these fraud and create save nation to live .
I personaly believe that these books and shows have both merits and demerits on individuals mind , its all depend on the way how we take them . These are good way of entertenment and awareness but on the other hand , these show are also giving ideas to criminal to scan in different ways . So movie makers should make this movie with the disclaimer of the sideeffect of these bad things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that young viewers seek excitement and action, and that crime programmes can raise awareness of scams; you also give a balanced opinion, noting entertainment and awareness benefits alongside the risk of giving criminals ideas. The example of the programme CID and OTP scams helps make the awareness point relevant. However, the explanation of why audiences enjoy crime fiction is less fully developed: the claim that young people want to be inspired by “strong and bold personality” is unclear, and the role of crime novels is not specifically discussed. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and example, and state more precisely how you judge the overall value of these books and shows.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two paragraphs explaining popularity, and a final paragraph giving your opinion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “on the other hand” help readers follow the main stages, and the example of CID follows the point about awareness. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, some links are mechanical, and the sentence beginning “To explain, the audience depend” is incomplete, interrupting the progression. References such as “these criminal mind show” and “these bad things” are also unclear. Use complete topic sentences and make pronouns and references point clearly to specific ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “criminal offence,” “awareness,” “scam,” “disclaimer,” and “side effect,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “portay,” “poularity,” “criminas,” and “normalmpeople.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “criminal mind show” and “create save nation to live.” These issues fit a level where vocabulary is sufficient to convey basic ideas but errors can cause difficulty. Build a reliable set of crime-related collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; prefer precise phrases such as “raise public awareness of fraud” over unclear wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “as they want to get inspired…” and a contrast in “but on the other hand.” This shows some range, but control is inconsistent: several attempted structures are faulty or incomplete, as in “To explain, the audience depend” and “To create awareness about how criminals are things.” Agreement and sentence construction also need attention in “these show are also giving ideas” and “its all depend on the way how we take them.” Punctuation and spacing around commas and full stops are uneven, which sometimes makes sentence boundaries hard to follow. Practise building complete subject–verb sentences, checking agreement and articles, and separating long ideas into clear sentences.
