IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In many countries today, crime novels and TV crime dramas are becoming more and more popular. Why do you think these books and TV shows are popular? What is your opinion of crime fiction and TV crime dramas?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 4.5)

Now, these days crime is becoming very common in every country and it is not coming toward low level instead this it is increasing day by day and which is not a good thing anywhere.

Even everywhere the crime rate is hingh in every countrys due to crime novels,tv dramas etc .And the people have an interest to get these news and the people want more these type of newses.and everyone is interested in it.

Today every country is trying to control crime but it is not happening which is not a good thing and this thing is destroyin our countrys.Due to these crimes the people had an interest of hearing these news.And the drama makes and novelers and pick this topic and had an interest of getting this topic for their dramas and novels .because peple know that there dramas,novels become viral because people have high interest in it.Even i like crime dramas because these are very interesting and in every scene there is a such thinh that brings me joy which i like and other people. And this thing give them happines and joy.most of the people enjoy these type of dramas.

but the bad thing is that crime is real and it is increasing day by day and this is not a good thing.The gournment should take a big step to controll the crime so we can go anywhere without any hesitaion .If the gournment control these situation then this will take a huge change for their country and this will improve their economical part also

However, progression is difficult to follow because the opening and second paragraph repeat claims about crime increasing, while the relationship between crime rates and the popularity of fiction is not made clear. Connectors such as “Even” and repeated “and” do not always show the intended relationship. Organise the essay around the two questions, with one paragraph explaining appeal and another presenting and supporting your opinion.
