Student answer (Band 5.5)
Crime novels and TV crime dramas are being watched by many peoples in different countries.I reckon crime fiction books and shows are showing crime stories as it is increasing day by day. In my place, it should be watched at limited basis with restricted content.
There are several reasons behind this. In the first place, these books and shows are producing awareness among people that how to deal with a situation if you came across some kind of robbery or any other crime.Secondly, it is making people to stand with the victim .For instance, if any crime happens in your surroundings you are going to report it and help them to cope with this as a community. It shows unity and strengthen your bond rather than having pity on the victim.
Moreover, many countries' media industry is so much concerned regarding the fictional stories.Producers of such dramas and shows are making everything at the extreme level so that it is affecting ther people's psyhcology.Large amount of people are watching these types of shows at regular basis and sometimes all day long. It is making themselves so much activist regarding crime. As a result ,more and more protests are being conducted violently in every corner of the world.
To sum up, by watching or reading the extreme amount fictional shows and books that include violence, murder, rape and robbery makes you some type of pshycopath. As it affects your pshycology. As a result, you will involve in small issues with so much interogance and deal everything with such depth that you watched on the TV drama. I believe limited amount of fiction should be aired on TVs so that it will just help you become aware instead of making you violent or arrogant.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that crime stories raise awareness and encourage people to support victims, and you give a clear opinion that their content should be limited. These are relevant points, but the explanation of popularity is only partly developed. For example, the claim that viewers learn how to respond to crime needs a specific example or qualification, since fictional stories may not provide reliable guidance. Your discussion of media influencing behaviour also shifts from popularity to the possible harms of watching, and the claim that it leads to violent protests is not sufficiently supported. Develop the reasons people enjoy these stories—such as suspense, puzzles, or interest in justice—and explain your position more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “There are several reasons,” a further paragraph about media effects, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “In the first place,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression is uneven: the second body paragraph moves from producers’ concern with fictional stories to viewers’ psychology and then to violent protests without clearly showing how these points connect. Some linking is also mechanical or unclear, as in “Moreover” and “As a result,” where the relationship between ideas is not fully established. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, and connect examples and conclusions explicitly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “crime dramas,” “victim,” “robbery,” “fictional stories,” and “violence,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “watched at limited basis” and “stand with the victim” do not express your intended ideas naturally; “activist regarding crime” is also unclear in context. Spelling errors such as “psyhcology,” “pshycopath,” and “interogance” further reduce clarity. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing suspense, investigation, audience appeal, and social effects, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if any crime happens in your surroundings” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “these books and shows are producing awareness among people that how to deal” has an incorrect clause structure, while “many peoples” and “it is making people to stand” show problems with plural forms and verb patterns. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly where sentences run together. Practise forming clear clauses with accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for punctuation.
