Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern times, many things have changed a lot and became different compaired to previous times. TV shows and books are no exception to that. Earlier, people loved to watch and read things or articles that had meaning, which has shifted in today's time. Currently, many individulas are keen of crime dramas and frictions. Thus, their popularity are increasing day by day. This essay will include reasons for this development and state the opinion of writer.
To commence with, the world that we all are living in is a social world where people follow the trends. Many persons watch particular TV series or drama just because it is a popular on the social media and has an excellant reviews by some celebrity. This kind of things are responsible for the change in the film and TV industries in many countries. Additionally, the audience has grew and they are liking various types of dramas and movies. Television watchers want to explore new type of shows and dramas. Which leads raising interest in crime frictions and novels.
Furthermore, I believe people are getting bored with the regular type of books and series. They want to read and watch something exciting and exception. Many readers love to read those books which hold them in the story and make them curious.People want to experience thriller, crime and suspence movies and shows rather than traditional ones. This are the main causes for this notion.
From my perspective, there is no harm in watching crime shows or reading books as long as, people are watching those for fun and entertainment. But if anyone is taking inspiration from that to commit a crime then it will be the problematic situation. There are many examples of this type of offences.
To conclude, in my opinion there should be some kind of balance and boundries for making a crime show, movie and book.
Government sould imply guidelines for this. Most of all public should take these shows and books as an amusement, nothing more than that.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both questions: it suggests that social-media trends and audience interest in exciting stories contribute to popularity, and it gives a clear view that crime fiction is acceptable for entertainment but should not encourage crime. However, the explanation of popularity is only partly developed. The claim that people follow trends is relevant, but the reference to celebrity reviews is not explained, and the point about wanting something exciting overlaps with the general claim that viewers seek new types of shows. Your opinion is present, though the final call for government guidelines is introduced briefly rather than supported with a clear reason or example. Develop each main reason with a specific illustration and explain more fully why you hold your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons and opinion, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the response. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Which leads raising interest” is a sentence fragment, and “This kind of things” does not clearly refer to one specific idea. The first body paragraph also moves from social trends to audience growth and then to exploring new shows without showing how these points relate. Use clearer references and connect each supporting sentence directly to its paragraph’s main idea; this would make the progression more consistently easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “crime dramas,” “audience,” “thriller,” “suspense,” and “inspiration,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “hold them in the story.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable: “crime frictions” appears where “crime fiction” is intended, “keen of” is not the natural expression, and “excellant,” “individulas,” and “boundries” are misspelled. Some phrases are also vague, such as “things that had meaning” and “regular type of books.” Choose precise topic vocabulary, check spelling carefully, and learn common word partnerships so your ideas sound more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if anyone is taking inspiration from that to commit a crime.” Most ideas remain understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, sentence boundaries, and punctuation occur across the essay. Examples include “their popularity are increasing,” “the audience has grew,” and the fragment “Which leads raising interest.” In “people are watching those for fun and entertainment,” the comma after “as long as” is also misplaced, while several sentences run together without spaces after full stops. Review subject–verb agreement and past participles, and check that each sentence has a complete main clause. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied structures clearer.
