Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You explained your motivation for volunteering, highlighted relevant experience from your university internship, and clearly stated your availability. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter. To improve, you could expand slightly on the 'qualities' aspect; while you mentioned communication skills and patience, elaborating on how these would specifically benefit the museum's visitors would make your application more persuasive. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the prompt effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter follows a logical structure with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate the different requirements of the task, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'In addition' and 'Although' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between your interest in history and your previous internship experience could be more fluid. Overall, the message is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task. Phrases like 'inclined towards' and 'profound knowledge' show an attempt to use more sophisticated language. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'doing part-time unpaid job' (should be 'an unpaid job') and 'answering in a simple way' (could be 'explaining concepts clearly'). While these errors do not impede communication, using more precise terminology would elevate your score. Focus on learning common collocations related to professional applications.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical slips, such as 'Museum is the best place where person get knowledge' (missing articles and subject-verb agreement) and 'I really appreciate if you could' (should be 'I would really appreciate'). Despite these errors, your meaning is always clear, and the punctuation is generally correct. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures and ensure consistent control over articles and verb tenses.
