A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir,

I hope you are doing great. Recently, I came across you museum's website and there I saw some volunteer job positions open. I am writing this letter to show my interest in becoming volunteer in your museum.

Actually, I am a social studies student and in my third semester, there is a compulsory requirement for every student to do 3 months volunteer work during the upcoming summer break. Therefore , I would love to take opportunity of being a volunteer in your museum for 3 months.

Apart from above reason, I always keen to learn more about history of our country. And there is no good place for this than a museum which has enormous books related to history to study. I have all the skills needed for this jobs apart from my interest in history. I have a previous experience in customer service, time management skills. I also have good knowledge of computer literacy and some softwares as well. Because of my knowledge of history, I can give references to customer about what books to read about historical events.

Therefore, if you consider my skills appropriate for this role, feel free to contact me. As per my availability, I am available from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm every week starting from 1 june to 31 August. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
