Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: explaining the motivation, describing skills, and providing availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal application. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, while you mention management skills and MS Office, explaining how these specifically benefit a museum environment would have strengthened the response. The purpose is clear, and the reader is left with no doubt about your intentions. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is expanded with more specific detail or context to show a deeper engagement with the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter follows a logical structure, with clear paragraphing separating the introduction, the body points, and the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Apart from', 'Moreover', and 'Afterwards' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For example, the jump between your studies and your management skills could be smoother. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes slightly unclear, such as the transition between the end of the semester and your availability. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'voluntary opening', 'management skills', and 'organizing task'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I can also handles website' (should be 'handle') and 'following your carrier page' (should be 'career'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message clearly, it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that word forms are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'I am writing this letter to express my interest in current part-time voluntary opening' (missing article 'a'), 'which might helps you' (incorrect verb form), and 'I can still available' (missing verb 'be'). These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
