A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to formally request that you allow me to do part-time voluntary work in a museum.

The primary reason is that I have just completed my studies and want to gain some experience in this field. Actually, I am planning to start my career in this field in future. Consequently, this work gives me an opportunity to enter this field.

I am suitable for this position as I have the skills and qualities, which is required for this work, such as punctuality, communication skills, time management, and organization skills.

Moreover, I can start this job anytime because I do not have anything to do at the moment. Honestly, I eagerly want to participate in this voluntary work because it will not only help me gain experience but also build my confidence. I hope you will give me this opportunity, and I look forward to hearing from you.
