A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

I am writing to express my interest in working as a volunteer for the art restoration project at the museum.

I recently came across the museum's advertisement for voluntary work in the newspaper. I would like to enrol for this part-time job as I am particularly fascinated by the historical artwork presented at the museum. For many years now, I have been working in the area of oil painting restoration. Hence, I possess relevant skills and substantial experience to work with the paintings from the 18th Century Artists.

To assist with the paintings, I will be available on weekdays between 5 pm to 7 pm and on weekends from 9 am to 5 pm. I will be honoured if given the opportunity to work with the museum professionals.

Please consider my request for this voluntary part-time work. I will be looking forward to your prompt response on this matter as I will have to adjust my work accordingly.
