A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir,

I am writing in response to your search for part-time voluntary workers in your museum.

I am a student of history and I believe that this role would impart the necessary knowledge and experience in me which will be valuable in future. I can mention this work to my Professor as a summer project at my university and this would help me get better grades.

I am a quick learner and active individual with a strong sense of responsibility, all of which are useful and essential for this postion. I have a strong grip and command on the English language making it convenient for people to understand my opinions and views. Additionally, I am fond of conversing with people about art and history.

I have my summer vacations from June to August this year, and I am comfortable to work in the museum within this period.
