A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest to do volunteer work at your museum.

I recently saw this job posting online and it really appealed me, as the museum is near to my house. Moreover, I am currently on the term break for three months and wanted to utilize this time productively. I believe in hard-work and this opportunity can give me the exposure of the real clients and it can enhance my verbal skills by coordinating with different people.

Furthermore, I am very disciplined, organized and detailed oriented person, which can be valuable skills for your facility. I have studied everything about the museum, as I grew up in this vicinity and been to the museum quite a lot of time. I can give tour to the museum visitors and explain the history of the museum quite well.

With reference to, availability I can immediately join it and available from 8.a.m until 7.p.m. Monday to Friday. If the jobs demand weekend availability, I am open to it.
