Dear Sir,

I hope you're doing well, I am writing this letter regard to advertisement the about part-time voluntary job in museum. I am really interested to do a voluntary work.
I am a student studying in nearby university which is next to the museum. My exams got finished and my vacation is going to start, so, Instead of wasting time by just staying in home, I would like to work in a museum also it will help me to learn more about our history while working there.
I have an experience working in a university library from that experience, I learnt organisational skills and also I help other staffs by sanitizing the tables in library and I am calm and friendly.
As my vacation starts next week from July 2nd to August 1st week so I am available for work from next week, If you need any further information I am happy to provide.
Looking forward for your response, Thank You.
Yours Respectfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your motivation, describing your skills, and providing your availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening is slightly awkward. The ideas are relevant, but they could be developed further to reach a higher band. For instance, instead of just mentioning 'organisational skills', you could briefly explain how those skills would specifically benefit the museum's operations. The letter is clear and the purpose is well-defined, meeting the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical structure, with each paragraph addressing a specific part of the prompt. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat limited and occasionally mechanical. For example, the transition 'from that experience' is a bit repetitive, and the connection between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is present, but the flow between ideas could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition to'). Overall, the message is easy to follow, but the cohesion lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'voluntary work', 'organisational skills', and 'advertisement'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'regard to advertisement the about' and 'my exams got finished'. These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word order is natural and grammatically sound.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'I am writing this letter regard to', 'I am a student studying in nearby university', and 'staying in home'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your intent. To reach a higher band, you should focus on article usage (e.g., 'a' or 'the' before 'nearby university') and prepositional accuracy. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while ensuring they are error-free will also help.
