A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a volunteer work in your museum so that I could learn more about the art and the history of our country.

I have usually been a fan of historic arts, monuments and artifacts so, I decided to pursue my study in archaeology. However, for the completion of my course I have to show any kind of voluntary work in my profile to get graduated therefore, I decided to work in your museum as a volunteer so it could benefit me in my study as well as in career.

As an archaeology student I have knowledge about the arts and is well known about its importance which makes me a better candidate to work in your museum. I am open to work on weekends and on weekdays I am available for evenings as I have college in morning.
