IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I heard the news that you guys are looking for some volunteers for the museum. It would be honour for me to do some volunteer work for the museum.

I have keen interest in historic things, I always wanted to do a job at museum at some part of my life. I like maintaining, which can be a great skill for this job.

I do have exceptional communication skill, which can be useful If I need to talk to the visitors; indeed, I can explain things about all different antiques to them.

My memory is also very good, I am good at remembering dates so I can remember historical events and all dates. Cleanliness is my other skill, which I can use to keep the museum neat and clean. I am also good at organizing.
