A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in applying for the volunteer work at your museum. Since I live nearby, It would be a great opportunity for me to utilize my summer vacation in a meaningful and productive way.

I have a previous experience as a volunteer at the public library, where I developed strong communication skills. Moreover, I learned there to assist visitors for various tasks. I also became confident in contributing to the housekeeping service and helping staff if needed. Because of these skills, I feel I would be fit for this role.

Regarding my availability, I am free from Monday to Friday and until 4 PM on Saturdays. I am very flexible and willing to adjust my schedule on the short notice if required.
