Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explain your motivation for volunteering, highlighting your interest in history and art. You also provide a solid list of relevant skills, such as multilingualism and customer service experience, and specify your availability clearly. The tone is appropriate for a formal application. To reach a higher band, you could provide more specific examples of how your 'social well-being' studies might specifically benefit the museum environment, which would further develop your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is well-organized with a clear logical progression. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the prompt, which makes the information easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices like 'Apart from that' and 'Currently' to link your ideas. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly. For instance, the transition between your skills and your availability is a bit abrupt. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the clarity of the message.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas clearly. Phrases like 'contribute to my community' and 'multi-tasking' are used effectively. There are some minor issues with word choice, such as 'Social well being program', which could be phrased more naturally as 'a degree in Social Work' or 'a Social Welfare program'. While the vocabulary is adequate for the task, incorporating more precise or sophisticated collocations related to museum work or volunteering would help elevate the response to a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, and your meaning is always clear. There are some minor grammatical slips, such as the repetition of 'I am I am' and the lowercase 'i' in 'i love' and 'i am'. Additionally, the sentence 'I am a full time university student of a Social well being program for which i am available' is slightly awkward; a better structure would be 'I am currently a full-time university student; consequently, I am available...'. Despite these errors, your control of grammar is generally good and does not impede communication.
