A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to formally apply for the volunteer work at the museum for part-time.

I am an art student at the university and this will provide the great exposer. I have heard a good reviews about museum through local communities and I am curious and excited to join and learn more about the local art displays.

I would be a great fit for the role due to my dedication for art and prior experience from working in the community club at university. I am good at research therefore, I can help collecting data, study historical or scientific significance if items. Since I am an art student I can be a guide providing information to the tourists.

I can start volunteering within a week. I have university on Monday. Wednesday and Friday so I can work on Tuesday, Thursday and weekend at anytime.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
