A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my interest in doing part-time volunteer work at the museum located near my residence. I am seeking a part-time opportunity to gain experience related to history and culture concept. Moreover, I am majoring in historical studies, this unpaid volunteer work would provide adequate learning while working.

Admittedly, this job will assist me to enhance my knowledge and interest in areas like historic art and patterns used in ancient times. Additionally, this job will allow me to interact with different individuals which would help in improving my communication skills and chance to gather several ideas about each aspect in the museum.

I am a hardworking and responsible person and pay full attention to details and given instructions to do task on timely manner. I am available Monday to Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. I could assist on weekends and holidays, depending on your requirements.

I would be grateful if you would consider my application. I am able to discuss more about the schedule further if required.
