Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to apply for voluntary work at your museum. I am a student of Mental Health Recovery Practitioner course from Norquest college. As I am studying right now, I can not work full time. So, I am looking for working as a volunteer to improve my skills and learn some new things.
Moreover, In museum, you need to speak a lot in front to visitors and you need a good communication skills. Instead of this we also need great confidence. As far as I know that I have all these skills and I am able to talk to people. Furthermore, I think I have a better quality for that position in a museum. If I work here, It would not only help me to improve my skills but also help me to spend a quality time with a members of society.
I want to let you know that as a student, I am only available on weekends. However, I have a classes on Monday to Friday, I am unable to come there.
please give me this opportunity.
Thanks for your time and understanding.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explained your motivation for volunteering, outlined your relevant skills, and provided your availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although it could be slightly more professional in places. To improve, ensure that your ideas are fully developed; for example, when mentioning your skills, you could provide a specific example of a past experience where you demonstrated communication or confidence. Overall, you have fulfilled the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'However' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Instead of this we also need'. Additionally, the paragraphing is a bit fragmented; the final sentence should ideally be integrated into the previous paragraph or the closing. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'voluntary work', 'position', and 'opportunity'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I have a better quality for that position' (should be 'qualifications' or 'attributes') and 'spend a quality time with a members' (should be 'spend quality time with members'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, incorporating more precise, topic-specific collocations would demonstrate a higher level of lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a student of Mental Health Recovery Practitioner course', 'a classes') and prepositions ('in museum', 'in front to visitors'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Additionally, try to vary your sentence structure further by using more complex subordinate clauses to demonstrate greater grammatical flexibility.
