A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Sir /Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in doing unpaid voluntary work at your museum. I heard this news from one of my friend and I am certainly delighted to be part of the museum.

Currently I am doing final year Social science course at University of Toronto. I had learned various theoretical lessons at the university but I am really interest to participate in practical work. Hence, I am deeply looking for unpaid jobs in this summer break. Furthermore, I believe that working at museum, I would definitely gain the knowledge which is really necessary for my upcoming project presentation.

Moreover, I handle several responsibilities at my university. For instance, organising sports and cultural events and also managing the crowd during the busy hours of office timing. Therefore, I strongly believe that I can manage any work which will be assigned to me.

I will be available on weekdays from 11AM to 6 PM. Kindly confirm my job duties and timings to plan my summer break appropriately.
