IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Director,

I am writing this letter for doing regarding the job post for part time work at the museum. I would love to volunteer and take the job opportunity.

I am a fanatic for historical artifacts, I would be more than pleased to work at the museum; it will also help me experience and learn more closely about the ancient history.

In addition, I would be a great person for the job as I know more about the ancient history and can always be a great help at the museum with touring the people around and giving them a brief run down of the historical moment.

I can start from next week, I have an open availability also, I am open to work on weekends. I would be looking forward to hear from you.
