Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly explained your motivation for volunteering, outlined relevant skills such as communication and computer graphics, and provided specific availability dates. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter of application. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are slightly more developed; for instance, you could elaborate on how your specific interest in historical art aligns with the museum's mission. Overall, the response is purposeful and meets the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Apart from it', and 'because' to link your ideas. However, the progression between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try to vary your transition words and ensure that the flow between sentences is smoother. For example, the transition to your availability could be more naturally integrated into the paragraph about your skills. Paragraphing is used correctly, which helps the reader follow your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'beneficial', 'punctuality', and 'fruitful'. There are some minor word choice errors, such as 'I am very exciting' (should be 'excited') and 'I am look forward' (should be 'I am looking forward'). While you attempt to use more specific vocabulary related to your skills, some phrasing is slightly unnatural. Expanding your range of collocations and ensuring correct word forms will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are several recurring grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement ('my break would starts') and missing articles or incorrect pronoun usage ('i have summer break'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall accuracy. Focusing on proofreading for basic tense consistency and subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your writing.
