The tone is consistently appropriate for a formal letter to a museum director. The ideas are well-developed and relevant, showing a clear understanding of the task requirements. The letter follows the required structure and maintains a professional, polite tone throughout, which is essential for this type of correspondence. You have successfully covered all aspects of the task in a coherent and logical manner.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 8.0
The letter is well-organized with a clear logical progression. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the prompt, which makes the information easy to follow. You use appropriate cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'Regarding my availability' to link your ideas smoothly. The paragraphing is logical and contributes to the overall clarity of the message. The transition between the introduction, the body paragraphs, and the conclusion is seamless, demonstrating a good command of text structure and flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 7.0
You demonstrate a good range of vocabulary that is appropriate for a formal application. Phrases like 'express my interest', 'valuable experience', and 'contribute to the museum' are used accurately. While the vocabulary is functional and clear, it could be further enhanced by incorporating more precise or sophisticated collocations to reach a higher band. For example, instead of 'I am friendly', you could use 'I possess an approachable demeanor'. Overall, the lexical range is sufficient to convey your message clearly and professionally without any significant errors in word choice.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 8.0

Punctuation is used correctly, and there are no noticeable grammatical errors. The control over complex structures is consistent, and the writing is error-free, which reflects a high level of grammatical competence.
