A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir,

My name is Ishika; I am writing this letter regarding the part-time volunteer position that you have available.

I am a first-year student in the University of Alberta, studying history and archeology. It is a requirement of the course to have at least 4 to 8 months of voluntary work experience. It could be either paid or unpaid. As your museum is offering the unpaid volunteering work, I would be interested to work there. Because of being an history and archeology student, I have good knowledge about the ancient structure, animals and their species. Moreover, I have done many research projects on the Dinosaur, so I have some basic knowledge about them. Furthermore, I live closer to Drumheller, that makes easier for me to commute. My availabilities are on Monday- Friday after 4:00 pm because I have classes in the morning, but, on weekends I can work anytime.
