A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope everything is going well. I recently saw a posting on the city website for people to do volunteering at the museum. I would love to be a part of the team.

I have been taking part in this type of volunteering for a long time. I enjoy being helpful for others, as is it also in my nature. Moreover, I really like museums since my childhood. I am more attracted towards different types of paintings, art works, sculptures and books. I personally find museums very interesting.

I have visited this museum in our city many times which made me familiar with all the artwork and books. I have also provided voluntary services last year which helped me to adapt many skills. I worked with the man who took care of all the ancient books and provide knowledge to the visitors. I learned many skills from him, I could provide volunteer work.

I am studying at a university, the classes are from Monday to Thursday. Therefore, I am totally free for weekends. I appreciate your time and assistance. please let me know how I can apply for this work.
