A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to participate in part-time voluntary work at our community museum.

SInce few months, I was willing to do some voluntary work in our community. As soon as I heard about this, I was ready to enroll into this as the timing suits my schedule and it is just on a walking distance from my house.

However, I have done few unpaid work before in different communities such as last year, I participated in green city project which includes the activities like cleaning the city and planting pots around neighberhood. I can use that skill to manage the cleanliness of museum and I can also guide visitors as I am much aware of this area.

My availability will be from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 2pm as I have to attend my school after that but I can choose alternate shifts on weekend if needed as I do not have classes on weekends.
