Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points of the prompt: explaining your motivation, describing your skills, and providing your availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or repetitive. For instance, the explanation of why you want to volunteer is a bit circular, and the description of your skills could be more specific to a museum environment. To reach a higher band, ensure that your reasons are clearly articulated and that the connection between your past experience and the museum's needs is more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on one of the required points. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Regarding my availability' and 'The main reason', to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. Some sentences, such as 'I hope you understand and consideration on my request', are slightly disjointed from the preceding text. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contribute', 'interpersonal skills', and 'flexible'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'built up my bonding among others' instead of 'build rapport' and 'deal the client' instead of 'deal with clients'. Additionally, there are minor errors in word form, such as 'as an volunteer' (should be 'as a volunteer'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('I do commitment'), preposition errors ('work under museum'), and awkward sentence construction ('I look forward your best response to me as soon as earlier'). While the meaning remains clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for articles, prepositions, and verb forms will significantly improve your accuracy.
