A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Sir,

I am writing to inquire about voluntary work at the museum. I am interested in voluntary work on weekend.

I am resident of Nelson. I have been living in Nelson since last 10 years. Currently, I have been working as a phsiotherapist assistant in private hospital. As I have some free time on the weekend, I would like to do some voluntary work. I would like to become more invloved in my local coummunity an dmake productive use of my free time.

I am friendly, responsible and organised person with good communication skills. I am comfortable speaking with people with different backgrounds and can explain information clearly and patiently. I have also previous experience at local community events. These qualities would help me assist visitors, provide basic information and support the museum staff with cleaning stuff.

For my availability, I am free on weekend and also available on weekday eveing from 5 pm to 8 pm. I would be happy to volunteer for approximately 10-12 hours pers week and if addition help is required on special occasions.
