A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Madam,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing because I would like to apply as voluntary worker in Manila Museum.

First, I would like to express my gratitude for providing local residents the opportuntiy to work in the historical msueum. This is an opportunity for people to do something they are passionate or be of service to the public. The main reason why I want to work in the museum is because it can further developed my creativity skills. Additionally, I believe that it can enable me to discover more about the historical facts about the city and its cuture, which consequently be of great assistance to my ongoing graduate studies in Arts History.

Meanwhile, my past experience working in a National Museum is something that could help improve the museum. For instance, during my time in the National Musuem, I was tasked to organize an event where the aim is to encourage the public donate some valuable artifacts to the musuem. We can do the same to the Manila Museum. Moreover, everything that I learned from my undergarduate and graduate studies can be of great help as well. One of the subjects in my undegraduate studies taught me essential methods on how to preserve this physical appearance and deisgn of an artifact without having to spend so much money on software or hiring professionals.
