A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have seen the adverstisement on social media that you are looking for people to do part-time work without paid at the local museum. I am happy to join you as I am retired from my job and I have nothing much to do at home. I feel lonely at home and love to socialize with people, so I think this would be a great opportunity to make new friends. Moreover, I always try to do some voluntary work to support my neighborhood in any way.

I have some gardening skills as a I have a big garden at my house and I am good in cleaning and organising commercail buildings. I will be helpful in any kind of housekeeping tasks. I am avaible any day from 11am to 4 pm except Sundays. Do not hesitate to call me on giving contact number. Let me know when I can join the team.
