Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The candidate has successfully addressed all three bullet points of the task instructions. The letter explains the motivation for volunteering ("This job is a great opportunity for me to work nearby as a volunteer"), describes relevant skills and qualities ("good conversational skills, computer skills... guide visitors"), and gives clear details of availability ("free from 9am to 2 pm" during "june- july"). The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a museum director, although the opening salutation "Dear sir" should ideally be "Dear Sir or Madam,". All parts of the prompt are covered sufficiently, and the ideas are relevant, leading to a solid performance for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into logical paragraphs, each addressing a different aspect of the prompt, such as the introduction and reasons for applying, skills, and availability. Cohesive devices are used, such as "Moreover", "That s why", and "As i already metioned earlier". However, paragraphing and referencing are sometimes a bit mechanical or basic, and punctuation issues in paragraph transitions mildly disrupt the natural flow. Overall, there is a clear logical progression throughout the text, allowing the reader to follow the writer's points easily.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The candidate demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms like "advertisement", "opportunity", "confidence", and "conversational skills". There are some lexical and collocational inaccuracies, such as "doing a study related to" (studying) and "maintaining the things on proper place and shelves" (keeping items in their proper places). Spelling errors also occur, such as "intersted" and "metioned". While less common vocabulary is attempted, these minor inaccuracies and spelling slips place the response firmly in Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The candidate attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and subordinate structures like "I saw the advertisement regarding the part-time worker, whoever is intersted..." and "It will not only helps me... but also develop...". However, there are noticeable grammatical errors and slips, such as subject-verb agreement issues ("helps me" instead of "help me"), run-on sentences, and punctuation mistakes (lowercase "i" and missing spaces after commas). Despite these errors, meaning is generally clear and does not impede communication.
