A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter

• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing because yesterday while I was walking home which is near tthe museum, I saw an advertisement for a part-time voluntary vacancy for Thanksgiving period. I am interested and i would like to apply for this part-time position at Westminster museum.

I would like to do this part-time job because I like to talk with all age group people and handle the different personalities. It helps for my education as well and my future. All my friends are going to celebrate thanks giving and i will be alone most of the time so i can spend my time in the museum and learn new things.

I have several skills that would be useful for this role. I have good communication, time management skills and I am adaptable. Even my study useful, I am studying Master of science in history. Therefore, I could explain the visitors about the museum artifacts and answer some of questions.

I saw the timings of museum from 7:00am to 6:00pm. I am available from 10:00 until 6:00pm till my holidays end period. I want to start the work from upcoming monday which is Feb 20th onwords. Could you please consider my application and let me know.
