Dear Sir,

I want to apply for Automobile Representative job in "The Science Museum" which is nearest to my home. I know that it is voluntary job and I would get letter of appreciation from the museum director.

First of all I did bachelor of engineering in automobile. And I am well versed and have deep knowledge in two stroke, four stroke, automatic and manual transmission and its working mechanism. Moreover I also have good verbal skills so that I will get chance explaining this gear concept of two-wheelers motorcycles and four wheelers to visitors.

Doing voluntary job to visitor in large crowded and busiest place will enhance my communication skills and I will also welcome question from the spectators which will again benefits to me in explaining this to people of amateur to expert, thus will enhance understanding of every people group.

I am availabe for six months from January 2027 to June 2027 during daytime.

Hope you will consider my job application and will give chance to work in fast space environment.

Thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, as you successfully mention why you want to do voluntary work at the museum, describe your relevant skills, and state your availability. However, some areas are under-developed or lack clarity. For instance, your explanation of why you want to do the work focuses heavily on personal skill enhancement rather than a genuine interest in the museum's mission or visitors' experiences. Similarly, the description of your skills and qualities is somewhat tangled with repetitive explanations of mechanical concepts rather than presenting a clear overview of your interpersonal and communicative strengths. To reach a higher level, all bullet points need to be fully extended and supported with clearer, more distinct supporting details that directly answer every aspect of the prompt in a well-balanced manner.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical structure appropriate for a formal application. You use standard opening and closing conventions and divide your main ideas into distinct paragraphs covering your motivation, skills, and availability. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, and referencing is not always clear. For example, expressions like "First of all" and "Moreover" are used simply, and transitions between sentences can feel abrupt, such as jumping from mechanical engineering details directly into visitor interaction. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally imprecise, as seen in phrases like "explaining this gear concept" without a clear antecedent. To improve cohesion, you should employ a wider and more natural variety of cohesive devices and ensure that each sentence flows smoothly into the next with clear referencing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but it shows limitations that place it in the lower range. You attempt to use less common vocabulary related to your field, such as "two-stroke, four stroke, automatic and manual transmission and its working mechanism," but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and phrasing, such as writing "voluntary job" instead of voluntary work, and referring to a "fast space environment" instead of a fast-paced environment. There are also occasional word-form errors, such as "availabe" instead of available, and awkward phrasing like "every people group." To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate greater precision in your word choice, ensure correct collocations, and avoid repetitive vocabulary while maintaining accurate spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but it is hindered by frequent errors in grammar, articles, and prepositions. You attempt some complex structures, such as "Moreover I also have good verbal skills so that I will get chance explaining this...", but these attempts often contain structural faults like missing articles ("get letter of appreciation", "do bachelor of engineering") and incorrect prepositional usage or verb patterns ("get chance explaining" instead of the chance to explain). Punctuation errors, such as missing commas after introductory phrases, also occur. While these errors rarely impede communication entirely, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. To improve, you should focus on mastering article usage, ensuring correct verb complementation, and refining your control over complex sentence patterns.
