Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you explain that you want to gain “knowledge and experience,” describe yourself as talkative and dedicated, and state that you are available after 3 p.m. on weekdays. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the closing thanks the director for considering your application. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you do not explain why the museum itself interests you, and your skills are described generally rather than linked to useful museum duties such as welcoming visitors or answering questions. The availability is helpful but could be more precise about the hours you can work. Adding these details would make the application more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with the reason for writing, then gives your motivation and qualities, followed by availability and a closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and expressions such as “Moreover” and “If you need” guide the reader through the message. Some connections are less clear or sound mechanical, however. The opening repeats the idea of applying, while “I already apply for that” does not clearly connect to the preceding sentence. The final request for further inquiry is also vague. Use clearer links between each point and organise the letter around the three requirements, with a more direct transition into your availability and a specific offer to provide further information.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main purpose, with relevant terms such as “voluntary,” “experience,” “interact,” and “dedication.” You also attempt phrases that convey personal qualities, including “talkative person” and “passionate person.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes parts of the letter less clear. For instance, “do part time as a voluntary” and “any other inquiry” do not express the intended meaning naturally, while “unknown person” is less suitable than a phrase for museum visitors. Spelling errors such as “hasitate” and “respond” also affect accuracy. Build a small set of precise phrases for applications and visitor-facing skills, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both short statements and longer sentences, including a reason clause in “that is why I think this work is good for me to enhance my knowledge and experience.” The main message remains understandable, but there are some errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation. For example, “I already apply” needs a past-tense form, and “I am talkative person” needs an article. The sentence beginning “I am talkative person” also contains several ideas joined together, so clearer sentence boundaries would improve control. Capitalisation of “I” and sentence openings is inconsistent. Practise accurate present and past forms, articles, and punctuation, while keeping longer sentences simple enough to control.
